In the late 1800s Philip Olt began making duck calls from a converted chicken coop on his family farm. In 1904, he turned his passion into a business with the formation of the Philip S. Olt Company. Soon his D-2 Duck Call and A-50 Goose Call became arguably the most popular call models of all time.
The Olt Company went out of business on April 5, 2002 and David Jackson who earned the title “Mastercall Maker” at P.S Olt after spending more than 27 years with the company decided to carry on making the traditional game calls and created DJ Illinois River Valley Calls. His vision is to is carry on a waterfowl tradition.
